Department of Agricultural Chemistry of the Hugo Kołł±taj Agricultural University of Krakow and the Krakow Branch of Polish Society of Ecological Engineering would like to kindly invite you to participate in the V International Scientific Conference on:
TOXIC SUBSTANCES IN ENVIRONMENT
Krakow , 2-3 September, 2008.
Including:
• sources and transformations of toxic substances in environment (air, water, soil),
• effect of toxic substances in live organisms,
• toxic substances in the trophic chain plant - animal - man,
• methods of harmful substances immobilization and neutralisation in environment,
• bioremediation as a method of cleannig of ground contaminated with chemical substances,
• reclamation of degraded grounds,
• possibilities of ecological utilisation of waste materials and sewage sludge.
You are invited to submit titles and abstracts of papers by 15 February 2008 to the following address:

Typed summaries of papers in good English (max. 1 page, ready for print, with electronic version) should include: title, author(s) name(s), affiliation, objective of the study, methods, results (may be in the form of a table or figure) and conclusions.
The papers will be accepted for presentation on the basis of submitted summaries. The authors will be notified by 15 April 2008 by a Second Announcement, which will also define the form of presentation and instructions concerning preparation of manuscripts for publication. Papers after positive review will be printing in journal Ecological Chemistry and Engineering.
Registration fee c.a. 900.00 PLN (280 EU) includes: organisational costs, accommodation, printing of communications and one submitted paper (6 pages including summary and list of references). Longer papers may be printed at additional cost c.a. 70 PLN (20 EU) per one page.
