Main research subjects: techniques and organization of timber harvesting in the mountains; optimization of timber and non-woody products utilization; ergonomic research on work stands in forest utilization; studies on interrelations between physical and mechanical properties of wood and forest environment; influence of mechanization of timber harvesting and forest transport on forest ecosystems.

Teaching subjects: timber harvesting, wood products; wood science; ergonomy; forest transport.
